Rainbow is a marine conservationist passionate about the ocean, sustainability, and climate change. She founded SOA Hong Kong , the Hong Kong hub of global youth-led marine conservation organization, with others in 2020. Currently, a PhD candidate and a science educator at the Swire Institute of Marine Science, University of Hong Kong. Her work focus on coastal conservation and restoration, environmental education, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy. Her connection to the sea is deep-rooted, stemming from her fishermen ancestors. After earning her MSc in Conservation Biology in Australia, she returned to her roots and contributed to various local and international environmental NGOs. Rainbow possesses interdisciplinary experience in science, social science, policy, and fieldwork throughout the Asia-Pacific region. She actively participates in a range of climate actions. As a conservationist, she believes in uniting people with the environment to restore lost connections
